Marketing consent is optional and is not required merely to create an ordinary UCO Business account or use core account functionality.
Recommended Consent Wording
I would like to receive occasional emails from UCO Business about insights, education and career opportunities, events, services and relevant updates. I understand that I can unsubscribe at any time.
Consent Requirements
Where affirmative consent is required, the checkbox should be unticked by default and should not be bundled with acceptance of Terms, Privacy notices, payments or application submission.
Where multiple channels are used, channel-specific choices should be considered, such as Email and SMS/Messaging.
Where consent is relied upon, an auditable record should retain the user or identifier, consent category, status, timestamp, wording/version, source and withdrawal information where appropriate.
