Overview

The Yale Master’s in Asset Management is a nine-month specialised master’s programme focused on investment selection, asset allocation, portfolio management, quantitative investing, financial econometrics, behavioural finance and practical asset-management preparation.

For UCO Business users, this programme is most relevant to the Finance pathway, especially Asset Management, Wealth Management, Financial Markets and Risk Management.

Students should review Yale SOM’s official admissions and cost pages before applying, including transcripts, testing, essays, recommendations, interview and cost of attendance.

Entry requirements

Applicants must submit transcripts from every college or university where they earned university-level credit, including study abroad, transfer, community college, summer or non-degree coursework, unless already shown on the main transcript.

Applicants must submit test scores according to Yale SOM’s application guide. Yale notes that official score reports must be sent by the Post-Submission Materials Deadline.

The application also includes written application materials, recommendations and interview review according to Yale SOM’s admissions process.

To begin the programme in Fall 2027, applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree by 31 July 2027.

English requirements

If the applicant’s native language is not English and they have not completed a degree in an English-speaking country, Yale SOM requires TOEFL, Duolingo English Test, or IELTS scores.

Applicants from countries or territories where English is an official language, such as India, Pakistan, Hong Kong S.A.R., or Singapore, are still required to submit an English-language test. However, the requirement may be waived if the applicant completed a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree at an institution where all instruction was conducted in English.

For applicants applying in January 2027, Yale SOM accepts TOEFL, Duolingo English Test, or IELTS scores taken within two years of the application submission date.
