Entry requirements
Applicants need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree in any discipline, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
Relevant work experience is not required, but may increase the applicant’s chances of acceptance.
Preference may be given to applicants with grades above the minimum requirements because places are competitive.
As part of the online application, applicants must provide a personal statement and details of relevant knowledge, training and skills.
Applicants may need to submit degree certificates, academic transcripts confirming current or final marks, English-language evidence and certified translations if original documents are not in English.
English requirements
IELTS Academic requirement: 7.0 overall with at least 6.0 in each component. IELTS One Skill Retake is not accepted.
TOEFL iBT, including Home Edition, before 21 January 2026: 100 overall with at least 20 in each component. TOEFL MyBest Score is not accepted.
TOEFL iBT, including Home Edition, from 21 January 2026: 5.0 overall with at least 4.0 in each component. TOEFL MyBest Score is not accepted.
C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency requirement: 185 overall with at least 169 in each component.
Oxford ELLT requirement: total 8 with at least 6 in each component.
Oxford Test of English Advanced requirement: total 155 with at least 135 in each component.
English-language tests must normally be no more than two years old on the first day of the month in which the programme starts.
