2027 Summer Intern: Area Manager, Fleet Transportation Corporate Intern

Walmart 2027 Area Manager, Fleet Transportation Corporate Intern is a supply chain and transportation leadership internship.

The intern works in transportation or fulfilment-related field environments while learning to lead associates, improve processes and solve operational problems.

For UCO Business users, this job is most relevant to the Management pathway because Area Manager interns develop leadership, project management, team supervision and operational execution skills.

Work with cross-functional teams to solve large-scale problems.

Partner with Walmart teams in a dynamic operations environment.

Oversee hourly associates and a sub-department within warehouse or transportation operations.

Think strategically and remove obstacles for team members.

Participate in mentorship and leadership-development opportunities.

Support supply chain and transportation process improvement.

Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree programme currently.

Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.

Relevant majors include Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Operations, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields.

Strong communication, collaboration, servant leadership and structured problem-solving skills are expected.

Experience or understanding of data analytics, Six Sigma or Lean is useful.
