Senior Manager, Project Management

The Senior Manager, Project Management leads multiple cross-functional business projects and organisational initiatives at Walmart. The role combines portfolio coordination, project planning, stakeholder management, resource forecasting, risk management and continuous improvement. It is responsible for aligning projects with broader programme objectives, monitoring milestones and costs, identifying operational gaps and supporting data-informed decision-making. The position also works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to manage organisational change, strengthen project governance and ensure complex initiatives produce sustainable business outcomes.

Develop and lead multiple cross-functional projects aligned with organisational priorities.

Create, prioritise and coordinate project work plans, schedules and resource requirements.

Monitor project milestones, expenditure, costs, risks and dependencies.

Ensure individual project objectives remain aligned with wider programme goals.

Identify process and value gaps and use data to develop improvement recommendations.

Manage project documentation and act as a central contact for project requests.

Develop risk-mitigation strategies for complex programmes and projects.

Create communication frameworks and keep stakeholders and executive leadership informed.

Influence organisational change by educating teams on new or improved business processes.

Establish consistent project-management practices and standards for project deliverables.

Coach and develop team members while strengthening accountability and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant business, operations or analytics experience; alternatively, at least 6 years of relevant experience.

At least 3 years of project-management experience.

At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Strong experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders.

Ability to manage project plans, resources, risks, schedules and performance measures.

Experience managing small or medium-scale change initiatives is preferred.

A master's degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field is preferred.

Project-management certification is preferred.

Six Sigma certification is preferred.
