Senior Manager, Operations - Operations Capability

The Senior Manager, Operations - Operations Capability leads the execution and modernisation of learning and operational capability programmes within Walmart Marketplace. The position brings together programme management, instructional design, facilitation, learning operations and innovation to create scalable operating models that improve workforce readiness and organisational performance. The role translates business priorities into structured portfolios, roadmaps and measurable outcomes while strengthening operating discipline across global teams. It also plays an important role in introducing AI, automation and modern learning technologies to improve the speed, quality, consistency and scalability of Seller Support and Risk Operations.

Lead integrated execution across programme management, instructional design, facilitation, learning operations and innovation.

Build and scale a global hub-and-spoke learning and operational capability model.

Translate business priorities into learning portfolios, roadmaps, capacity plans and measurable outcomes.

Introduce AI, automation and emerging technologies into learning and operational processes.

Use operational data and business insights to improve readiness, quality, speed and scalability.

Lead, coach and develop managers while strengthening accountability across teams.

Coordinate with Product, Technology, Operations and external partners to deliver strategic initiatives.

Identify and remove barriers affecting programme execution.

Manage programme risks, dependencies and competing priorities.

Drive continuous improvement across Walmart Marketplace learning and operational capability functions.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations or a related field with at least 3 years of experience in operations, project management or a related area; alternatively, at least 5 years of relevant experience.

At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Experience leading complex operational, learning or organisational capability functions.

Strong programme and portfolio management capability, including prioritisation, capacity planning, risk management and dependency management.

Ability to translate business strategy into scalable operating models and measurable outcomes.

Experience leading managers and developing high-performing teams.

Strong stakeholder-management and cross-functional leadership capability.

Data-driven decision-making and continuous-improvement skills.

Experience working with technology, automation or AI-enabled operational solutions is advantageous.

Leadership of cross-functional projects or task forces is preferred.

A master's degree, particularly in Operations Management, is preferred.

Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
