Senior Manager, Operations Improvement

The Senior Manager, Operations Improvement leads programmes and projects designed to strengthen operational efficiency, process excellence and workplace safety across Walmart's facility operations. The role combines project management, continuous improvement, change management and people leadership to identify operational gaps and implement sustainable solutions. Working across multiple teams, the Senior Manager defines programme scope, coordinates resources, monitors performance metrics and ensures initiatives are aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards. The position also supports Walmart's wider safety culture by improving processes, influencing stakeholder behaviour and creating structured approaches that deliver measurable and lasting operational improvements.

Manage multiple operational improvement projects from definition through implementation.

Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines and resource requirements.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful programme execution.

Analyse existing workflows and identify operational or performance gaps.

Develop and implement sustainable process-improvement solutions.

Monitor programme and safety performance against defined metrics.

Address post-implementation issues and drive continuous improvement.

Lead change-management initiatives designed to create sustainable behavioural improvements.

Mentor, train and manage team members to support a high-performing operating environment.

Ensure compliance with organisational policies, safety requirements and relevant operational standards.

Present programme status, risks and improvement plans to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Support Walmart's wider safety, accountability and operational-excellence objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field with at least 4 years of experience in retail operations, content development, project management or a related area; alternatively, at least 6 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, including project scope, objectives, timelines and delivery.

Experience analysing operational processes and implementing continuous-improvement initiatives.

Strong change-management capability and experience securing stakeholder alignment.

Leadership experience involving supervision, mentoring or team development.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Knowledge of compliance reporting, operational assurance or facility-management practices is advantageous.

Experience working with Environmental Health and Safety programmes and standards is beneficial for this role.

Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred.

Retail-industry experience is preferred.

Experience working with cross-functional teams or projects is preferred.

A master's degree in Business Administration is preferred.

PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
