Summer 2027: AI Science Intern

Intuit Summer 2027 AI Science Intern is a data and AI internship focused on machine learning, statistical analysis, experimentation and customer-impact modelling.

The intern works with AI Scientists, Researchers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Analysts, Software Engineers and Product Managers to uncover insights and develop models that improve customer experiences across Intuit products.

For UCO Business users, this job is most relevant to the Business Analytics pathway because it applies data exploration, machine learning, experimentation, analytics and AI to business and product decision-making.

Gather, clean and explore large real-world datasets.

Prepare data for modelling through data wrangling and ETL.

Build, train and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models.

Use techniques such as classification, regression, clustering and neural networks.

Engineer and refine features from raw data.

Design and run experiments, including A/B tests.

Perform statistical analysis and communicate model impact.

Explore AI, machine learning, generative AI and LLM methods.

Partner with AI Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Analysts, Software Engineers and Product Managers.

Document research, model architectures, code and experimental results.

Currently enrolled in a PhD programme in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Alternatively, enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme with prior relevant experience and a graduation date after the internship ends.

Must be legally authorised to work in the United States full-time for the internship duration.

Ability to work in a hybrid environment at an Intuit office location determined by team and role.

Familiarity with machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering and optimisation.

Ability to explore, discover and import data from multiple sources and make it machine-learning ready.

Strong Python programming skills.

SQL proficiency.

Interest in generative AI and large language models.

Excellent communication skills and a learning mindset.
